What would be the ideal temps for my gtx 760, i have a zotac one (which unfortunately has near the same temps as the reference model). It is a 2gb model and not overclocked as of now.

Solution
As long as it's below 85C I wouldn't worry about it (though ideally you'd like it to be below 80C or so which is the normal temperature for a reference card under heavy load)

Having MSI Afterburner with a custom fan curve set up would really help your situation since the Zotac card does have a dual fan design

I have an Asus gtx 760, which has a great cooling fan built in, but I added a PCI port fan to help pull heat off of it. I run around 65c under heavy load. If you don't have the money for liquid cooling of a gpu, a pci port fan is cheap and effective (at least for me it was).

Even though this is an old post, The GTX760 has a max temp of 97 degrees Celsius. This answer was given to me by the EVGA support team when I asked them about the max temp of the EVGA GTX760 4GB FTW w/ ACX cooler. The max temp may vary from Asus to EVGA to MSI, but It is safe to assume that 90C is the max temp. Keep it below that, and your golden.

the fan speed is impressive tho went only 61% max
which means no buzzing

this is much better than my 100C 5770HD at load with
loud ass fan
