The 2 motherboard have the same 970 chipset and both are from quite reputable companies. But Asus's BIOS seems to be better.

Let's do a comparison

Asus
- 2 More RAM slots
- 1 more x16 PCIe slot

MSI
- more USB ports

other than that, they have more or less the same number of internal I/O ports and they both have useful software.

I would go with The Asus board
