okay i can sell my xbox one for 525 and for 600 dollars i can build a pc that can max out battlefield 3 and probally run battlefield 4 on high and crysis 3 on high so my question is should i sell my xbox one and build my first pc but the thing i dont know how long til i have to upgrade it? heres a link to my build http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SfGE4i_A6E4
should i just stick with my xbox one and laptop cause with the xbox one i never have to upgrade and i have friedns who have xbones and not pc so should i build the pc the main reason why i want a pc is steam but with the xbox one i dont have to upgrade it and hal 5

It would be a fun project, but if you just enjoy playing games with your friends i would just stick with the xbox untill you get enough money for a higher end...

If you have money, time and interest sell that console and go for PC. But Xbox One means that you get to play games with your friends and you can be assured that the machine is good for like eight years or so. With PCs you gotta keep upgrading your machine to be ahead of the games but you do get the highest video quality and a mature gaming community.

If you are a student like I am, I'd go with the XB1 'cause at this moment I'd go for no headache gaming.

You know, if I were you I'd definitely go with XB1. I do love PCs and building them, but considering your friends having XB1s you are better off going with XB1 and play with your buddies. I have a laptop and I love gaming on it but I'm worried sick about what will happen 3 years down the line when the machine isn't capable of playing the latest games. I can go on and build a gaming PC but I'm now going to college and I don't have enough time visiting this site let alone plan my builds right now.

So, my final advise would be for you to get yourself an Xbox one. You can go with the PC route, its just that upgrading PC to stay ahead while studies is a PITA

So I guess you will be going the PC route. But really, do you rate playing games on highest setting higher than the feeling of playing along with your buddies??? I'm not discouraging you. But what about 2 years down the line?? You can upgrade but come to think of this. An Xb1 means that you can game on for 8 years without almost no headache, no worries.

It might be 'good enough' but you are trading in your xbox for a pc that might not run high games in 2 years, While your xbox will be solid for 5+ years so it just makes sense to build a higher end pc in my opinion

Ok then build a PC with good gfx card and in3 years or so upgrade CPU, RAM an drop in a second card or a new card.

All the very best. I was like you last year, always going along with PC. But now i wanna try something new as XB1 was new I thought that would be the best for you considering your situation. You will find a much mature community when gaming on PC. So its all good.....

I have within the last week made this call...sold the Xbox One to a mate and had other savings to build my own gaming PC.....as I was just rubbish at BF4 and COD with a controller....

Best decision I've made in a while....after some practice, it was not long before I was winning more gun fights....I find your able to be so so so more precise with a good mouse than I could ever be with a controller (even with Kontrol Freeks on)....and just yesterday, I was getting some nice headshots and multi kills after practicing keeping recoil under control and burst firing....

I'll never buy another console for FPS games again...

That is a common misconception. This 600$ PC is more powerful that the xboxOne, and you can see this on next gen multiplat games like bf4, ac4, etc with the R9 270X(or similar gpu) playing these games with better graphics and performance than xboxOne. The same will be true in 5 years.
