What should I upgrade in for this PC???

Dont know if its compatible, but with that $150, spend $70 on a new PSU, which will no doubt be far better than the piece of junk that is inside it and will make it compatible.

The rest of the cash, there's nothing to really upgrade since you have already got the GPU covered. Sink the cash into a better card.

Of course, you could just build a rig yourself, and not waste cash buying components twice and compensating for the limitations of a pre-built.

You can build a much better PC for those $600. The PSU is only 300W and hence way too less for any upgrades.

I am not sure if it can really handle all the stuff that is inside the rig already.

I would recommend building your own rig since for the same amount of money a much better build can be built.

I'm such an idiot...

I already have a Thermaltake TR2 600W PSU...

Basically, you're telling my to save up for a better card. However, I have not bought the r9 270. I could pool my extra 150 with the 180 that the card costs... What would you recommend? Would this be a good plan?

Okay, thanks!

Would I need any other cooling in the case like air or water?

Would this card fit in the case?

Thanks!

Case airflow should be fine if not the best. The CPU is using a stock cooler, no doubt that will run hot and loud. A cheap heatsink like a 212 EVO would fix that.
That is a good question, one which I dont have an answer for. Visually it looks like it will be fine, but don't know for sure.

At this point your replacing a lot of this build and your going to have to tear it all apart to do so, I dont know why you dont just build your own rig from scratch. It would avoid a lot of these issues as your actually getting your hands on good hardware.

It's a long story. One that involves a Christmas present mistake and a lot of disappointment. I understand I am going to have to tear this thing apart (PSU, GPU), but that's fine. I'm goingto be playing some dayz and bf3 and thats it for a while. Thanks so much for your help!
