Any idea what kind of performance I'd expect to get out of these two components on new games like Battlefield 4 & DayZ Mod etc... ?

Also, do you reckon this is going to be decent for 3D applications such as cinema 4D and other productivity things such as Adobe AE CC & Sony Vegas?

Anything I should bear in mind when buying these two things? I've a fairly high quality 500w Corsair PSU and I'm confident it will power these components fine as I've seen even as low as the CX 430w running these two things, and the power consumption of the Fx 4100 I have at the moment seems to pretty much match that of the Fx 6300.

The rest of my system:

500w corsair builder series.
8GB Crucial Ballistix RAM (1600MHz)
2x HDDs - 1x500GB and 1x1TB
1x Disc Drive (Fairly Crappy)

Please correct me about the PSU if I'm wrong, any help would be appreciated.

Sam

for today needs you need minimum 550w. the fx when OC drain tons of watts. maybe a fx 6300 can hurt the powersupply with 270 @ 300w when Oczed. 250w for graphic card solution. getting about 550w even 600w power supply needs. if you not oc a 500w will be great. 430w for i3 with a 7750 HTPC.

What GPU are you going to use?

If you are not going to OC, then 500 is good enough.

yes 500w should be fine for 7870. But its recommended to have some extra. go for 550 or 600.
