Hi there,
I recently decided to upgrade my computer, and being the space cadet that I am, I impulse bought an EVGA geforce gtx 660 superclocked.

It's a monster of a card, and it doesn't fit with my current motherboard that is 3+years old. I'm looking for a good quad core processor and a compatible motherboard that isn't going to cost me an arm and a leg, but can't seem to find good quality components and I am asking for some help.

I've had this computer forever, first one I actually bought on my own. At this point I'm rebuilding, saving the HD, disk drive, and the other pieces that I can.

I appreciate any and all information, opinions, and links. Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoy the rest of your holiday season.

I would recommend an i5-4670k with any ASRock Z87 motherboard (4670 and any H87 motherboard if you don't want to overclock). If that is an arm and a leg, I'd recommend an AMD FX-6300 (six cores) and an Asus M5A97. This assumes that your case is ATX standard
