I'm trying to play the new DayZ Standalone on my desktop, and for some reason, even on the lowest graphics settings, I'm barely getting 10 FPS. Here are my specs:
Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 @ 2.4 GHz
8 GB DDR2 RAM @ 800 MHz
AMD Radeon 7870 2 GB
My brother plays the same game on medium to low settings at 40 FPS on his 2012 MacBook Pro which has a nVidia 650M and a 2.6 GHz quad core i7. My desktop runs any game except DayZ better than his, and at higher graphics settings. The only thing I can think of is that DayZ is highly processor dependent, and my processor is just too old and weak. What do you think?
