I am looking to purchase an AMD Athlon ii x2 370k. I prefer intel but intel can be very expensive. What cpu from intel does the same performance as the amd?
In terms of performance the Athlon II X2 370k would be about equal to the Sandy Bridge generation Pentium G630 / G640. The Pentium G3220 is based on the current generation Haswell architecture and it is more powerful.
If you are currently running an AMD rig you'll need a new mother board to go along with the CPU so keep that in mind. As for the comparable question Tom's has already provided a CPU hierarchy chart and your CPU is listed.

Amazon sells it for $68 (two whole dollars less than Newegg).

So I basically put the g850 and the 370k together but when I did a benchmark for the game skyrim, I had the 370k perform much better. Aren't clock speeds for amd supposed to be slower?
