So I recently got a job to save up money to build my very first gaming PC. I'm still very new to this and i'm not really sure what works with what. I came up with this combination but it came out a little bit more expensive than I wanted (was hoping for under $1000). I plan on using the computer for games like skyrim, battlefield 4 and watch dogs. I'm in no rush to buy these parts and plan on taking my time waiting for the best deals. A friendly review would be appreciated! *changed CPU to suggested, thanks!

**the keyboard, monitor and optical drive are optional, i can use my tv as a monitor and i can get a cheap keyboard. as for the optical drive i don't really need it.

That's technical stuff in motherboard details. I wouldn't worry about it.

You could get Asrock Z87 extreme 4 for 110 dollars. 20 dollars extra than your original motherboard.

It's a pretty good one and will serve you for good period of time.

For gaming a 4770K is completely unnecessary. A 4670K is much cheaper but fairly similar and with nearly identical performance in games. Either bu a better graphics card or just save some money.
You also might want maybe a slightly higher wattage power supply if you might be overclocking. A Z77 motherboard would also be reccomended.

I'm not planning on overclocking, I just want to be able to play games on high setting with at least 25 fps.

If you're not planning on overclocking buy the i5 4670 instead of the "K" version

Although the difference might be just 5-10 dollars

but hey , you can enjoy an extra cup of coffee at breakfast.

Alright I think i'm all set up. Im a little worried about the wireless network adapter, is it reliable at $20? I dont have an ethernet outlet in my room so I have to use wireless.

WiFi is very much environment dependent. The same adapter that works in my house might not work well in yours. And vice versa.
No way to tell until you try it.
