I currently have a fx4100 and a gtx 650ti and I would like to know what would be best to upgrade for gaming. My resolution is 1920x1200 and I mostly play BF4 multiplayer, DayZ, and Arma. The games seem to be more cpu intensive, so I was thinking of getting a fx6350 or a 8350. But due to my resolution I was thinking it would be good to get a 760 or an r9 270x. I can only choose one at the moment, need help deciding on which one to go with first.

You need to definitely upgrade your CPU otherwise most high end cards that you buy like r9 270x or 760 will have bottle necks at full HD resolution like you just mentioned.
I would first upgrade the CPU, than later on the GPU.
If you upgrade the GPU first, you might not enjoy the full benefits with CPU intensive games
