Vga to Tv wont work?

Ok, ive looked on the internet and searched allmost everywhere and cannot find a solution for this. Whenever i hook my laptop up to my tv with my vga cable, the tv just says "no signal", and yes, ive did duplicate,extend, and projector only. I've also tried changing resolutions as well.

did you go into the TV's control panel and select vga or select PC? you have to enable the port....

with the TV's remote. is there a button that says menu? that will get you to the interface. then you need to snoop around until you find what you're looking for. each brand of tv is different so i really can't lead you blindly.

i looked at the AMD VISIONS control center and did about everything that had anything to do with vga and i went to device manager, also i tried restarting the computer , and when i did the tv flashed black and went back to no signal for about 1 sec, as i was starting the pc up

so there was nothing in the tv's control panel?........... which means you look in it's booklet or go on line to see the pdf.
