Hey guys I'm looking to build my first computer. I will need it to be able to easily perform tasks such as editing/modelling. I will be editing film up to to hours long in 1920 x1080 p. Here is the list I have so far:

GPU: Asus GeForce GTX 770 DirectCU II OC 2GB PCI Express Nvidia
CPU: Intel CPU i7 4770 Socket 1150 Haswell Processor Retail with Heat Sink Fan
PSU: Corsair CP-9020015-UK CX 750W Power Supply 80+ Bronze
RAM: Corsair Memory Vengeance Pro Series Red 16GB DDR3 2400 MHz Dual Channel Desktop ( will upgrade to 32gb)
MOBO: Asus SABERTOOTH Z87 Intel Z87 Socket 1150 Motherboard
SSD: Samsung 840 EVO 250GB Basic SSD c/w CD with Data migration, Magician software and manual
HDD: Seagate 3TB Performance SATA 3 Hard Drive ST3000DM001 7200rpm with 64MB Cache SATA II Compatible
DVD/BLUE RAY DRIVE: BDC-207DBK Blu Ray Rom / DVDRW writer from Pioneer

Please let me know what you think. Also the total price of all of this adds up to £1,178 with all. Items purchase from scan. Pleas let me know if there are any better alternatives to the components that will give me the same performance but cheaper.

Also if anybody has built a machine for editing cs6 the could you let me know what you use and roughly how fast it is?

Thankyou everybody

I would use an Intel i7-4770k and overclock it for optimal performance, but you would also need a CPU cooler, which can cost up to 80 USD. I will also recommend changing the PSU to a Corsair TX 750, as the CX series were designed for beginner PC's and have less reliability than other PSU's. Other than that, I won't change anything :)

Ok thank you for your reply :) I have the i7 4770k what sort of CPU cooler do I need? I thought they came with the CPU. Also will the corsair h80 be ok? For the cooler?
Thank you for your help

It does come with a stock cooler, but temperatures usually hover at 40+C, limiting the performance and overclocking potential. The H80 is one the best AIO coolers, but if you want air cooling, the NH-D14 is also a great choice.
