I am looking to build a cheapish computer to run FSX, my laptop is just too laggy. I don't want an all singing all dancing machine of awesomeness, just something that will run it okay. However because I've never built a computer before, I don't know about compatibility of parts and so on.

So if anyone can list me a build with cheapish parts, in British pounds, I'd be very grateful!

Hi:)
What is your budget?
This information helps a lot in recommending computer components.
Can you also list what you need please?
If you need everything from a case, dvd drive, keyboard, mouse, monitor, operating system etc etc please say.
I'm from England so i should be able to recommend what you need once you provide the information:D

Hmmmmm budget around 300/400 maybe! It may sound cheap bit I literally do not have masses of money to spend :) the cheaper the better!
Oh I literally just need the computer, I have a screen, keyboard, mouse etc. so well..everything inside the case, I will need a DVD drive for my cd however :)
Hope this helps and like I say, cheaper the better!

I'm going to check this out, thank you! I'm literally a novice with all of this so I'm taking baby steps! :)

Woops, didn't realise you had a 300-400 pound budget, edited now

Quite annoying and sad since the stuff in the UK and Australia etc. are much more expensive

The 750k/760k CPUs are decent entry level CPUs for a budget gamer, you could eventually overclock the thing due to its unlocked multiplier (hence why I added the Hyper 212 EVO)

The 2GB 7850 will have no problem playing any modern game at high settings at 1080p so I'd assume that FSX wouldn't be too hard to handle for the 7850

If you can find a better 2GB 7850 (preferably Asus, Sapphire with their superior coolers) for cheaper at a local store, then by all means go for it

This looks very interesting! Would around 320 be the cheapest it can really go? Or can it go further than that? Just wondering is all :)

This looks good as well, I would never have been able to figure this out myself! I was looking myself but I really don't know what goes together and all that,

The AMD 7850 2gb is a much better card. I had one in my computer until 3 weeks ago. I just sold an AMD FX4100, 4gb ram, Gigabyte motherboard and my 7850 2gb for £110
I can knock some money off that build i guess but it will have to be in the morning.
I'm tired

Wouldn't you save some money buying a few parts from Amazon or Newegg?
