Hello...( i have a 64 gb sandisk sd card installed on my surface ( with all the pics, documents, videos, and music folders linked to the sd card ) Formated as NTFS
today i decided to eject the sd card to install about 2000 songs from my laptop to my sd card, everything went normal.
i finished coping the files , so i remove the sd card, and i put it back in on the laptop to make sure all the music was there, but i noticed that it never copied anything ( after spending 50 min for the songs to transfer) so i went to folder setting and unchecked DO NOT SHOW HIDDEN FILES, and there it was, a folder on my sd card called SYSTEM VOLUME INFORMATION .
i tried to do a reset on the sd card put it gives me an error " couldnt be formatted , i dont mind loosing all the files on the sd card since i hace a copy on my laptop, i just want to factory format my sd card ...can anyone help me please :-(
I tried taking full ownership of the forlder and sd card but it resets back everytime i open the sd card ,all i want to do is format the sd card, i dont care about the files inside since have a copy of my pics and music. I dont know what else to do, and dont want to throw away the sd card since its a 64gb card
im not even able to add files to the sd card :-( its so stressing .
this are the folders i have inside the sd card
documents
downloads
music
pictures
skydrive
system volume information (weird)
torrent
videos
.dropbox.device ( weird)
i cant even use the sd card to store files. and if i change a setting on the sd card or try to take ownership it wont let me , i tried deleting all the folders but they keep coming back
I asked the question on microsoft but i am not getting any help ...
