I recently bought an radeon HD 7770 and after installing it and updating my drivers I noticed 2 things. After booting up the computer the fan on the GPU doesnt click on, it only does so after I open the control center. After that it runs fine. Second when i launch a game it plays for a few minutes then crashes. Sometimes the whole computer crashes, but so far only 2 out of 7 tries. At first I thought it was my PSU, but its a 600w with a 6-pin connector, what the box and website recommend. Ive never had this prob with my old GPU (HD 6000-ish). Is it still my PSU or something else? Should I just go ahead and get a new PSU like a 750w? Any help would be great, thanks.

It may be a defective GPU. Have you updated your mother boards bios? Have you uninstalled all drivers and reinstalled? That is where I would start first.

Your 600 watt PSU is more than enough to drive your video card. Upgrading it would just be a waste of money.
Exactly what video card did you buy?

Go into catalyst control center and manually set your fan speed to 60% (or higher) and then see if it crashes when gaming...lets eliminate overheating. And perhaps download GPU-Z. Leave it open and it will chart you GPU temp. There are other programs, but that one is "lite" not "bloatware".

check the BIOS settings and make sure your pci lanes are getting the voltage they need (AUTO mode)
