Computer Screen Freezing in Place

Hey guys, for several weeks now, my computer has had the problem of randomly locking its screen (freezing). The picture on the monitor freezes and I can't do anything, move my mouse, alt-tab, etc.

Hints:
The CPU tends to slow down its fan speed when the PC is about to freeze.

I have tried re-seating the RAM, done windows memory diagnostic, and swapping out different
sticks, no change.

I have run the DLG quick test on the hard drive. That test passed as well.

I have re-installed Windows 7 and updated to the most recent graphics drivers.

I have cleaned out some of the dust from my CPU/case.

That's all I can think of for now, please let me know of anything you can think of.

Download HDtune Pro from somewhere.. the full version hopefully ;)

And run a HDD test to check for bad sectors.

I ran the quick sector error scan and they all came back green.

Would advise you to do a full scan.

Quick sector usually doesn't pick any errors.

Relax, turn on the full scan, drink some coffee, and wait it for to finish.

Full scan was clean, too.

Hmm ...

Have you tried .. using your PC with one RAM Stick ?

Then if it freezes, take that out, and just use the other one.
