Ok, so basically, I'm quite worried and stressing myself over my CPU temps.

Getting about 33-25c on Desktop just with Chrome and iTunes open and when running say CoD Ghosts, I get up to 50c ish. So I ran prime95 and the results are in these links.

As you can see, my temps got to 56-57c when running prime on the desktop with Chrome open and 32c on all cores when I closed prime. Are these temps safe? I'm quite concerned since I'm new to all this stuff still, but I know how to install components etc. I changed out an i3 2130 to the i5 2500 and these are the temps I'm getting. Don't know what I was getting with the i3.

Anyways, I'm told by my friend it's nothing to worry about but its bugging me. Help would be greatly appreciated, cheers in advanced guys

Oh thankgod, I was getting worried over nothing then, eh?

Yeah, it's stock heatsink. So these temps are normal and safe?

Yup, stock cooler. So nothing to worry about? Specially when I play the games I mentioned such as CoD Ghosts or BF4 that get it so high?

cpu manufactuers set the max core temp low. its more the voltage that kills the cpu and not the temperature

Ah :p

Well, now that that's put my mind to ease, I'm gonna attempt to catch some sleep since it's 3 AM over here in the UK.

Thanks for the help.
