First build, no picture on startup

I usually recommend to new builders that they build a cheapie machine first. Something under $200. This is a good example why. Better to get your growing pains out of the way with a $30 part than a $300 part. Not a good feeling to drop 2k on a rig and wonder if you made a big mistake. But it is what it is, so lets see what we can do.

Do you have any other compatible memory modules you can use to test the new board, or another board you can use to test the new memory?

Anything at all that stands out to you about how it looks or sounds? Even something small?

I'm pretty much stuck with what is listed there.
When it starts up, after about 15-20 seconds it resets itself.
It doesn't have a beep code but there are some small beeps coming on startup. They sound pretty normal though.

All the case fans and CPU cooler lights come on, along with the audio boost light on the MB.

Could it be the tv i'm plugging it into?

Shouldn't there be at least something come up? Or could the CPU be broken?

I suppose it could be CPU. Could be a few things. However, if you did the memory test suggested in the first thread, then it's safe to say its not the RAM. I seriously doubt all the modules are defective.

When you did that test, did you disconnect all peripheral devices? I mean everything non-essential. Including mouse, keyboard, video card (use the integrated graphics) hard drives. Just psu, board, and CPU. And reset the CMOS AFTER everything is removed. Use one ram stick. If it doesn't work, change sticks AND slots to ensure its not a bad stick or slot.

You may have done all of this but I wanted to make sure. Especially the timing of the CMOS reset.

I tried a bigger tv and nothing. I'll try unplugging everything and see how that goes.
It that doesn't work, I might have to take it to a shop or something. They should have stuff to test everything with.
