Hey all,

I am currently building a new PC, and would like to know which one of these kits offers the best performance:

1. http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B007COT274/ref=ox_ya_os_product

2. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Skill-PC3-19200-2400MHz-Gaming-Memory/dp/B007V9PZFI/ref=sr_1_2?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1387783800&sr=1-2&keywords=g+skill+trident+x+16

I am aware the faster one has slower timings, but thats about as far as my knowledge goes.

I will be using the PC mainly for gaming, but need strong all-round performance.

Thank you memory specialists!

So very little/no difference in gaming? Would you recommend one over the other? Also...why do people seem to want lower voltages - i.e. 1.5v instead of 1.65?

Thanks!

Legenda in Aeternum
1.5 is the suggested standard for DRAM 1866 and under, above that as the freqs go higher 1.6-1.65 is perfectly fine....running higher voltage or needing higher voltage at entry level freqs of 1333/1600 can be indicative of weak ICs (memory chips)....the higher freqs like 2133/2400 etc will show more in multi-tasking and using more memory centric apps, in gaming for the most part DRAM is simply a data conduit
