I have Hard disk of 500GB HDD of WD model WD5000BPVT in my Acer 5755. I want to upgrade the hard drive.

How can I find the compatible hard disk?
What things I have to take care about?

In your situation, since you seem unsure about such things, I would take existing drive into a computer shop so the staff can examine it to make sure you buy the right one from them. All you need to decide on then is the capacity and brand.

Better still, have them install a new drive for you.
