I was going to buy the Antec 900w PSU but they have phased it out and cannot buy one now.
I wanted this PSU because of color red to match my rig.

I now need to get a PSU 1000W Or 1200W and replace the 135mm fan with a 135mm fan I have from X-silence PSU which is red.

I can solder.

Guys, which PSU can you recommended please :)

Alternatively is it worth spraying to RED car break red caliper paint which can withstand high temperature.

Which way would you guys do it if you had to.

Is it just the fan on your PSU thats faulty? If you are confident with a soldering iron then you can replace the fan in the PSU (some are soldered onto the PSU PCB and some are plug on). As for spraying then remove the guts from the Power supply first, sand down the PSU case and spray away. Break paint, or the spray for painting coal fires ect will be fine. Alternatively if you have one local take it to a powder coating firm (just the PSU case). I did it with my old PC case they charged me £5 for the whole case :)

zink: Sorry, I meant I want to take spray the fan red.
I need a excellent PSU 1200W or 1000W that people have already taken a fan out of it.

Then I can take this like you said to either powder coating or use heat resistant brake paint.

Can anyone recommend. Maybe a Corsair. Thanks
