Radeon 7790 for an older system?

System Specs:
CPU: AMD Athlon II x3 425 2.70ghz
GPU(integrated): ATI Radeon 3200
RAM: 4GB DDR2
PSU: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002G1YPHK/ref=oh_deta...
Display: VGA/HDMI output

So I decided this week to get a 460w PSU from Cooler Master. Understand that this is a pretty out-dated system and I have a limited amount of money. Yet I am still very angry for the fact I had to sell my other system for only $300.

I cannot buy a mobo, or a new cpu, or new ram. I have only one other option that isn't very attractive to me, but I'm willing to try. I am going to buy either an ATI Radeon 7750, or an ATI Radeon 7790. I am leaning towards the 7790, for obvious reasons since it has relatively low power consumption.

My question is whether or not I should get the 7790, it says it needs 500w as a recommendation, yet as I understand, I am removing mostly the disc drive, FDD, and other various components leaving me with a mobo, ram, cpu, psu, two HDD's, and included with a GPU of around 140w under full load.

I'll mainly be recording gameplay at around 1280x768 and I need power along with efficiency. I understand the CPU is going to bottleneck this card but I'm a little short of desperate.

get 7790 and PSU Corsair CX 430M
500w is only recommended capacity. not minimum requirement

coolermaster psu is a junk, literally

The 7790 would be fine and due to the reputation cooler master has with their psu's i'd recommend returning it.

The Antec range has decent cheaper PSU that you could purchase.

Your cpu should be okay in terms of the 7790 not being bottle necked.
