problem while booting

My system use to boot by showing first the "acer" screen. But now it shows the "acer" screen, stuck for loong time, then show some Intel matrix or some ROm stuffs... Why is it so??

did you update the bios or change any of the bios settings??? if i had to gusse sounds like someone turned on intel raid and the intel pxi boot for the network chipset. (go into the bios go under factory default hit load then save.) reboot see if the windows stop. if your pc a few years old the cmos battery may have gone bad and the mb not holding the settings any more.
