HDD not recognized!

Ok, so I just built a computer. I have Windows 8 loaded on a Samsung 840 evo SSD. When I go to my computer, my Seagate Barracuda 2 Tb HDD doesn't show up. Whats even worse, is when I go to the BIOS on my ASUS Maximus VI Formula motherboard, the HDD doesn't show up there either. So my Seagate Barracuda hard drive isn't seen by the BIOS, or the OS. Help please! thanks in advance!

Hi! Most probably something is loose. However looking at your specs, you doesn't look like a new builder. If nothing is loose, then try connecting the drive to another SATA port or just try reconnecting the drive. If it doesn't show up either, then most probably something is faulty in the HDD. Hope this helps :) Make sure that the drive has power also . :) :D

thank you for your quick response. Nothing seems to be wrong with the hard drive, but I could be mistaken. I'm positive that everything is hooked up, I guess that I'll just have to try a different SATA port, but that just seems like it wont work...
