Hello, I recently bought a Surface Pro 2, and I made backup image of the OS to a USB drive. But I'd like to keep an ISO or ZIP or something like that somewhere else in digital format.

I created the USB and it's bootable. How can I create an image of it? I know it's not easy. Can I just copy the contents of the USB to a ZIP and then create a bootable drive with WinISO in the future? What are some solutions? Here's a picture of the content of the root directory.

Thanks!

At first, I think you should have a powerful tool.
I hope this weblink couold help you.aomei backupper
http://www.backup-utility.com/features/create-bootable-disc.html
There is about "Making Bootable ISO File"
"If you do not have CD or USB disk, or if there is a problem when making the bootable CD, you could create a bootable ISO file first, and then employ some burning software, like Nero to burn this ISO file to a CD or USB disk. "

Hey,
I'm not sure if you're still struggling with this,
but I tried to do the same thing and finally found an answer.
Assuming you want to make a ISO of the usb,
https://forums.hak5.org/index.php?/topic/15567-convert-bootable-usb-to-iso/?p=163514
Just follow what he has to say with imgBurn,
If you want the contents of it like in a folder or something(not sure why you would though)
look into Daemon Tools and PowerISO, you should be able to extract the contents of the ISO once you've created it,
just keep in mind its always better to keep the ISO as the files might not be bootable..

Windows 8 seems to boot straight from the files. You can make a bootable USB just by formatting it to NTFS and copying the files from install media or extracting from ISO file to the USB disk. It's cleaner to handle the backup as single ISO file though.
