Hi guys I am new to this so please cut me some slack.

This is my question.
Will the corsair vengance pro 2133mhz 2x8gb 11-11-11-27 1.5v
Work with the asus maximus VI with a 4770k?

If so why does the manual not list it?
i ask because i just recieved an order of parts I intend to build my first tower and i was just reading the manual and came accross it. i am still waiting for the case and I am not sure if i should get different ram or not.

Thanks for any help You can provide.

HD= 3xWD 3TB green

Thanks i did that and it does not list it either.
I have done some looking around the web and it seems that it should work.

i have read that as long as its DDR 3 it should be fine, but i would like to clarify or better understand why this is.

Thanks

in all likelyhood, it will work, but some motherboards can be quite finicky as to what RAM they will work with. However, you can also go to the Asus website and check their QVL (qualified vendor list) for compatible memory and see if it's on their list.

I looked at that to it says the same.
If i understand it correctly it depends on the CPU capability. Lesson learned I know now that i should have checked this before ordering, I assumed at that level lof board i would be safe becsuse it was middle of the road name brand ram.

you know that if you have everything but your case, it is recommended to breadboard the mobo, cpu (with HSF), memory, GPU and PSU outside the case in order to verifying everything is operational prior to installing everything into the case. This would allow you to find out now whether your memory is compatble or not. That way you can either return the memory if it doesn't work and get RAM that is compatible prior to your case's arrival.

Yes i know I must admit I am a bit lazy on that respect because i prefer to mount the CPU cooler once because it looks as though it might be hard to mount the board later.

But you are 100% correct I should bench test it first

just tested it out of the case. It works the ram shows it running at 1333mhz wich i will look at when the case gets here and its all hooked up. the only problem is I get a CPU fan error its in the correct header and seems to run fine so i am at a loss to explain it
