I have an HP Model P7- 1520t desktop with windows 8 factory installed. My Bios is AMI vers. 8.15 (2/15/2013)
After much hunting, I had found the settings in the Bios>Advanced Tab>Power On set to ON.
That had allowed the computer to do what I wanted, to boot when I turned my power strip on. Even though HP
Tech support originally told me that was not possible.
Now after I had sent the computer back to HP for what I thought was an unrelated problem that solution no longer works.
HP said they replaced my mother board. When I discussed the Power-On boot with their Tech Support their response was along the lines of "that would require changes to the registry and we do not recommend that".
Can you tell me what needs changing?
