Sound from New Hard Drive

O.K well, I got my hard drive today and when opened it up and was inspecting it. It made a noise when i gently turned it sound kind of like a metal ball when it rolls. RMA?? or is this normal...

If it sounds like metal balls when it's all set up then it's probably Mechanical difficulties so you should be able to return it. Just to specify you haven't tried taking apart at all? Because that would be very bad.

wd is good to work with if you e-mailed them on that they should cover it and send you a new one and some times a better one due to that they want it for there qc to investagate that issue. wd has always worked very well with me and i'm sure they would like to see that drive. i've sent them 2 bad drives and they returned one was the same the outher was a better drive.
