As the title says, I'm wondering if it's possible to create a partition on an external HDD and use that as the "recovery drive" for Windows 8.
The reason I'm asking is just simply because I have an external HDD that I use for data backup, and I'd like to have the recovery drive for my new laptop on the external HDD as well.
Also, the recovery partition that my new laptop (Asus Zenbook Prime UX31A) shipped with is 20GB, and I was also wondering if a 16GB flash drive would be sufficient for that instead? I'd prefer not to buy a flash drive just for that (it seems like a waste to buy a flash drive and essentially never use it), and hence my original question, but I was curious if a 16GB flash drive would work as well.
