I would like to upgrade my almost one and a half year old graphics card. I currently have a 7850. Would I see a good boost in performance with this?

Any other suggestions? Thanks!

Well that depends on if you have a powerful CPU so you wouldn't be bottlenecking your GPU.

But yes there is a definite increase in FPs, if you go for a gtx 760.

How much increase you want, and how much you will pay for it, here's a look at benchies I checked for BF3

http://www.anandtech.com/bench/GPU13/583

Feel free to check the benchies out for other games, and change the GPU's.

Yes that GTX 760 will be an upgrade assuming your CPU doesn't bottleneck.

The best option for you is to sell your graphics card and then use that money to help pay for a newer graphics card. Anything from a 760 and up is a great upgrade. But then again you want to make sure you have a good enough CPU so it doesn't bottleneck your card. What CPU do you have?

I have an i5 quad core overclocked to 4.0gHz

What would be better, the 760 I posted or a 3gb GTX 660? I will not be doing SLI so im trying to figure out if maybe the additional memory would be more beneficial than the 760 would be.

Definitely go with the 760. Its a lot faster then the GTX 660. It's even better then the 660 ti and is on par if not better then the 670 is some cases.

The 760 won't beat the 670 lol. Would like to see where you got that from.

Not worth it. You don't need it.

What about to future proof myself? Im talking games like GTA5, fallout 4, etc...

I play on 1080p resolution

2GBs of Graphics memory is definitely enough for 1080p gaming. 4GB is way overkill unless you are planning on gaming on 4K or something lol

Ok, so in a game such as battlefield 4 I most likely would not see an fps difference between the 2gb and 4gb versions, correct?

Exactly, somewhere i read that BF4 only uses 1.5 GBs of graphics memory on ultra settings at 1080p so you should be fine. :)

Did you mean to say the 670 wont beat the 760?

Also, are there any other suggestions for cards besides the 760?

Thanks.

if you want a budget upgrade, go for R9 270x 2GB DDR5, Much more better than your old 7850
and the GTX 760 isn't much better than the R9 270x

The R9 270X performs about as well as a HD 7870.

Look at the benchmarks and know where they stand.

HD 7870 XT is Faster Than the normal HD 7870 GHz Edition
and R9 270X Performs about as well as HD 7870 XT i guess..
