I recently got a Xbox controller for my PC that is wired. I downloaded all the necessary software but when I plug in the controller it does not want to connect with the PC. All it does is blink green on all four quadrants. i am using a x64 bit windows 7 computer.

The drivers from microsoft can be obtained here: http://download.microsoft.com/download/6/9/4/69446ACF-E...

If it is still not working after running that installer, try going to the Device manager (Start menu>right click Computer>Manage>Device Manager on the left list) and uninstalling the controller and the scanning for hardware changes to get the driver to re-install. If that doesn't work, try the solution by SC Tom at this link: https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/windows/en-...

Good luck!

I had the same problem with the wireless receiver. Uninstall the microsoft xbox controller drivers via the programs and features section of the control panel. Then go back to device manager, right click the unknown device and go to uninstall. If it lets you, check the checkbox that says delete driver software. Then, reinstall the microsoft xbox controller drivers (make sure you have the correct installer for your system, either 32bit or 64bit) and see if it detects it then. You may need to unplug the receiver and plug it back in after the install.

Let me know where you get with that.
