I have been have been having a problem with my internet for about a week now. I am not able to play any game my because of my ping rate. I have called my ISP and they said that i was getting the connection that i am paying for. If anyone knows how to fix please HELP ME!!!

let me know what kind of network setup you have, have you cycled power on your router and modem? first turn off your modem and then router. power on your modem and let it come up completely, then turn on your router and let it come up.
You have to avoid trusting the ping times in the game. Those can actually be affected by things like your video card settings because of load they put on the game program.
First thing to do is run a tracert command to the server...the actual game server if you know its address but it is not critically important.
The first hop you will see in the trace is normally your router and the second one is the first router in the ISP. You want to open a couple of command windows and run a continuous ping to each of these. The one to your router should be very small. The one to the ISP also should be less than say 20ms but it varies a lot by ISP and connection type. What is most important is that it is consistent and you get no loss.
If both these are good then you likely don't have a network problem. There could be issues in the hops past here and you can test with ping but it is unlikely you will ever get it fixed so you hope there is no problems. Its not like your ISP is going to listen to you if you try to tell them they have a issue where they connect to another ISP.

You could try pinging and trace routing one of your game servers that you have issues with latency. Pathping could also be helpful. Even a basic tracert and pathping to www.google.com could be helpful. You can exclude your local IP address with "x.x.x.x" if you want.
If the issue only shows up when plugged into the router, then you got only a few possible issues.
1) Someone else on the router is using up a lot of your bandwidth. Another computer hooked up? Other devices over wireless? Someone hack your wireless?
2) Router has degenerated in some way. Some need to be reset to factory default, some have an firmware bug, or just getting old.
3) Router can't handle your speeds. Need a faster one.
I would start with simple things first. Disable wireless and don't connect any other devices and see if the problem still lingers. Next I would try resetting to factor default, then check for firmware upgrades if that doesn't work. Otherwise you may need to look into a new router.
Simple and cheap things first.
