Can i put a Core 2 Quad q9400 on a 775 Dual-Vsta mobo
I currently nave the 775 dual-vsta mobo with an intel celeron d 351 3,20 Ghz an wanted to upgrade to a new Cpu

no, you can't. via chipset was for intel pentium and maximum 800 mhz fsb, yeah maybe 1066, but 1333, no.

there you have a cpu support list. but i don't recommend an upgrade with your config. ditching it, maybe.

Sorry, those CPU's are all "dead-n-gone." If you can find 'em your going to pay an outrageous premium for them that is simply not worth it.

You can get a modern motherboard, CPU, and DDR3 RAM that would be the best path forward......

The CPU Support List Tab is on the left side of your motherboard link page. Quad Core is not compatible.
