I've built computers from components before. So this is not the first time building a comp.

My hardware is:
i7 4770 cpu
Asus h87-e mb
Kingston hyperx 2x8GB
Samsung Evo 120GB ssd
Msi gtx650 gpu
chieftec 600W psu

I connected all parts and when I power the machine I see the CPU fan rotates for 1s and all then stops and PC turns off. No beep or anything. Chassis fan also does not start. Only CPU fan for 1s.

Can anyone guess what's the issue?

I tested this with no external device attached (only chassis). I tried attaching a monitor cable thinking that it cannot start without a monitor, but this did not help as well.

Like monitor or keyboar&mouse.

Just trying to be absoutely sure before I dismantle the old pc since I'm still using it as a primary machine (work machine).

Keyboard normally has to be connected. Mouse does not have to be but it is difficult to navigate without it unless you know the keyboard commands. The monitor does not have to be connected for the machine to boot up but it is hard to operate a machine if you can't see what is going on.

Since it is only staying on for a second, you have a hardware issue. The i7 has the built in APU. Try booting it without the video card. If that works it is most likely the PSU overloaded.

Took out the video card and it still behaves the same. Will check the PSU as the next step...
