I tried going into sound and devices but updating the drivers doesn't work. The speakers are still plugged into the analog connector but there is no option to select it. The only things that show up are 'Digital Audio HDMI'. Is it because the sound is trying to go out the video card? I have the monitor attached through the DVI-I port anyway. Please help! Thanks you. BTW it's an EVGA GT 630. I've looked at a ton of answers and the solutions don't seem to work at all.

Assuming you're in Windows, right click on the lil speaker at the bottom right and click "Playback Devices." If necessary, right click one of the options and make sure "Show Disabled Devices" and "Show Disconnected Devices" are ticked. What is shown?
