Hello Everyone,
I have two 7850's in crossfire. One is a Powercolor and the other a Sapphire. While overclocking, at normal standard voltage I am not having any issue getting the Sapphire to hit as high as 1160Mhz without any voltage increase and the temps are fairly reasonable. The Powercolor card on the other hand is struggling with 1140-1150 and I have been trying to get it working stable. I have tried increasing the voltage but that did not solve the problem and really seemed to cause more instability. I found the card running far too hot is the problem. Its running at 80C with the fan on 60% and both slowly etch higher. The highest I saw was I think 80% fan speed with the temps moving towards 90C. So I have dropped the voltage to default and am working on slowly lowering the Mhz to stability.
What I am wanting, and having trouble finding, is a better cooler for my Powercolor card. At stock speeds the cooler is fine but it just can't take the overclock. I prefer to keep it fairly cheap too, anything more than $50 and I will consider it better to sell my Powercolor card and buy another Sapphire card.
I would appreciate opinions and any coolers that are compatible I could consider buying.
