I have a windows 8.1 Toshiba laptop and I scanned it for viruses with the McAfee security scanner and it says that my laptop is infected with a Trojan Virus. If I need to reset my laptop to the factory settings, please give me clear steps. I tried that and it says I was missing some kind of drive. Please help. I am getting desperate.

Have you tried using McAfee to clean the virus? Did it work? You can also download and install Malawarebytes, it's free and is very good:

Cleaning the virus is your best shot, although many times a virus infection, even after it is cleaned or removed, will leave Windows damaged and unable to run properly. But it's worth a try.
