I7 vs FX in Skyrim

I currently have a FX-6350 but I'm about to replace it with a i7 4770k because I'm tired of getting fps drops when I play skyrim. Especially since I use a bunch of mods. Both graphics and game play. Also I play wow and I can't get 60 fps because of the FX.

I just want to make sure that the I7 will fix this problem. And off subject but I notice that when I play skyrim now, my 2nd gpu won't go past 15% usage while my 1st card gets up to 90%

i7 is alot faster hands down, for mmo's it will be alot better aswell, its core per core performance is far above fx 8xxx's cpu's

Skyrim, in particular, works great with Intel...Just about every bench shows Intel far ahead.

Yup you'll be looking at a hell of a lot more frames with intel, esp. in Skyrim.

If you don't have any other uses other than gaming, you could always consider the i5 4670k.

I was going to get a I5 but a microcenter store near me is selling the I7 for 249.99 and I5 for 199.99 so I'm just going to grab a I7
And what about Metro last light and 2033? I get fps drop in it but neither my cpu or gpus or peaking.

You may get about a 10% performance increase in Metro: Last Light. Below are benchmarks for the game with a GTX Titan. The review was done before Haswell was released.

The following is a benchmark For Skyrim back in 2011 so PileDriver is not there and neither is Ivy Bridge. But just look at the difference in performance. I don't know what the hell is going on with the i7-3960x though.

Yea idk what the deal is with the 3960x that's odd. Only thing I can think of is the higher level cache maybe? Idk. But anyways. I get good 60 fps in metro but it likes to dip down a lot is the only thing. So maybe the I7 will fix that. Plus I plan on trying to get 4.6ghz out of it. I have my fx at 4.3 but that's because it refuses to go past 4.4 and at 4.4 I get this weird issue where it doesn't like to restart or shut down.

How high should I be able to get the I7 oc to?
Here is my system specs and what mobo I plan to buy with it.
Cooler Master V850
4 x 4gb g skill sniper at 1866 with a latency at 9
2 zotac gtx 670s 4gb models
HT omega claro ii sound card
1 ssd, 1 hdd, 1 optical drive
5 120mm led case fans, 1 140mm led case fan, fan control unit.
Cooler master hyper Evo 212 with 2 120mm fans.
