i asked another question on another section of the forum about transplanting the motherboard of my small form factor optiplex 7010 over to a larger case so i could use a more powerful GPU for gaming. the biggest card i can fit in my case is the radeon 7750. that sounds like it might be more of a pain in the ass than i wanted. so my other option is just to piece together a gaming PC with some of what i have now into another case starting with the motherboard.
what is the best motherboard i can get that will let me use the CPU out of my current small form factor case. its a Core i7 3770 @ 3.40GHz.
i figure i can just reuse the CPU, the RAM (unless the new board would use something better than DDR3 thats in use now), and the HDD. then get a powerhouse GPU and other components i see fit.
so what mobo would you guys suggest for gaming and what kind of price am i looking at?
