Hello!
My computer won't detect my video card anymore, it always start using the iGPU and is not using my video card at all! I tried to make the PCIE as priority in the BIOS but it doesnt work, still use iGPU and when I go back to the BIOS the priority option is reset to AUTO. The video card IS correctly connected to the PSU. I tried to put it in the second PCI-E x16 slot but it still doesnt work. I also tried to reset de BIOS and it didint work either. The CMOS battery is fine and is not dead because when I removed it and put it back in, some options in the BIOS changed to stock.
When I start my computer with the HDMI cable connected to the GPU the screen doesnt turn on as if it didnt detect a source, I then have to plug it in the mother board to actually see something.
The problem is that it used to work before but I had trouble. When I turned on my PC, 1 time out of 2 the PC would boot using the video card as GPU and 1 time out of 2 it would boot using the processor's graphics. When it booted with processor graphics I had to turn it off before it load windows then retry, but now it doesn't work at all!
Possible cause: It stopped working when I accidently unplugged the power cord from the wall while it was turned on. I didn't notice because I was insanely mad at my playstation 3 and left the room. I came back later, plugged the power cord back in, got blank screen because it started with integrated graphics, turned it off, turned it on again, turned it off again because it didn't work, turned it on again, but unsuccessful. I plugged my hdmi cable into the motherboard to see wtf was going on and windows couldnt start so I had to use a backup to repair it.
any clues?
