At the moment i left all colour settings at default , except for digital vibrance which is set to 55% and for the video colour settings i raised the saturation from 50% to 60%.

Im using the nvidia control panel.

All i want is to watch movies with the same colours and picture quality as the producer intended to produce.

More about : thx picture quality movies monitor

Hi - you need to calibrate your monitor. Hardware/software units start at $80 & go up from there. That is the best way to do it.

If you don't have the $$,(assuming you have Win 7 or 8) go to Control Panel (click little > at top), to all contr panel items, then click color mgt. , then click advanced tab, then click calibrate display tab & follow directions.

If you wish to get a calibration device, let me know & I'll post some links.

All i did as of now is calibrating the desktop colour setting (contrast and digital vibrance). I ended up setting contrast and digital vibrance from 50% to 60% while playing a bluray movie on my PC.

Can you post the links please ? Cheers.

I did the method you said from the control panel and i slightly improved the pic quality. I made the colours as they look best during daily use , but most importantly is that i watch movies as the producer intended to do it.

Hi again - assuming you have a good quality monitor capable (not all of them are) of high quality images (properly calibrated) then you might want to choose one of these:

http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/798928-REG/X_Rite... $144

http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/798930-REG/X_Rite... $224

http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/894645-REG/X_Rite... $79

All will provide a much better calibration than you can achiever by eye (the Win method)
