Strange Water Cooling CPU

I'm using EK Block and weird thing happens with it.

My CPU idles 40-39 degrees but when I tighten the block further down really tight onto the cpu
the temps go to 42-44 in idle?

Why is that?

Yeah definitely don't overtighten, even if it doesn't bend the plate, it can over time with a year of the metal heating and cooling.

Thanks, I thought I must have been maybe bending the metal plate on the block by tightening the 4 screws over tight.

I'm going to leave it loose but not loose if you know what i mean. Just hand tight-ish.
