So I noticed today that when I enable SLI on my computer (Dual nvidia 8800 gt) and i go to open say chrome, it will instantly cause a BSOD. I've seen it say WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR and DCP_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION. I've tried some older nvidia drivers when it was fine.

Am I correct in thinking that my 2nd graphics card may have just quit on me?

Solution
I would try the cards one at a time and see if the BSOD continues. That at least would let you know if there is a hardware problems.

As far as the drivers go at least on my SLI GTX 670's I have not found any problems even with the latest beta drivers and I have Geforce Experience installed,1.8.1, and have not had any problems. Shadow Play is great. But I can't say how the drivers would react on older cards since I do not have any to test with.
possibly. try a full uninstall of all nvidia drivers, and try an older WHQL, like anything earlier then 314.22

see if that fixes the problems. nvidia drivers have been buggy since 314.22; and don't install nvidia experience, that program seems to be at the heart of most of the recent driver/video card issues nvidia is having.
