IP Staying In Previous City (High Ping)

Okay so I built a gaming PC last winter here in my hometown of Pueblo, moved to Denver and brought it with me for school, now I came back home in Pueblo and brought it with me.

Now when I try to join games my ping is insanely high, and when I go to "What Is My IP" it tells me that I'm located in Denver, not where I actually am currently (Pueblo).

So how do I fix this? My ping is atrocious.

Edit: I was using a program called Hide My IP but it would always connect me to an atlanta IP, and I didn't have it running with windows or anything. I've also installed it. And I'm on a wired connection.

In that case, I would lean more towards the possibility that your IP is gained through Denver, as that can happen (as mentioned above), you could always contact your ISP to see if they can tell you.

I would open up command prompt (assuming you're using Windows) and make sure you run it as administrator and type in "netsh winsock reset" and then power off your computer. While your computer is off, power cycle your modem/router and once that's back up, then power on your computer and check your IP. I would also make sure that your set to obtain IP/DNS automatically (this is done through your network connections property screen).

***And also do what is mentioned above***

Could be, especially if you have a virus, sometimes that can happen. It's weird that it's still in Denver though. I would just double check the options for your browsers and make sure proxy is set to obtain automatically or no proxy as well.

Yeah, it's just weird because it's never done that before, and I'm getting really bad pings in every game.
