Hi. I'm building a new PC purely for heavy-duty video editing (Premier Pro) and special FX work (in After Effects, Maya, NUKE, etc). Just wondering what the best motherboard and CPU are for this set-up?
Money is no matter, and I'm happy for overkill to future proof myself as well. I'll be working with RED Epic footage at both 5k and 6k resolution. I plan to get 64GB of Corsair CL9 Dominator Platinum RAM, 1200W Corsair AX-1200|80 Plantinum PSU, EVGA GTX TITAN 6GB SUPERCLOCKED (Don't want Quadro cards, personally don't find the cost to performance substantial). I've been tossing up between i7-4960X Extreme or the i7 Xeon but I don't really know much about them. I'll be running about 20TB worth of storage on WD RED NAS drives plus datacentre drives as well. Want to configure them into RAID systems (this is where my computer knowledge starts to fall lol) Any help on motherboard and CPU would be awesome and any suggestions on anything else would be as well
