I need a am3+ motherboard for my fx 8320 and I don't know if I should buy a Gigabyte GA-78LMT-USB3 or a MSI 760GMA-P34(FX). I MAY OVERCLOCK. They are pretty much the same cost but I don't know what to choose. Can I get help please? Thank you and happy holiday to all! :)

if it were me i would look at the gigabyte 990fxa ud3 but thats me... i got a sabertooth and wish i got differantly.. but thats me. gig and msi are good brands and it comes down to witch one is spec. to your needs and then when you buy the one you get works oput of the box and not defective or doa. i would think for that chip you would look at nothing less then a 970 and that but i dont know what you need for your useage. 8320 990fx ud3 nice vid card you'll be good to go. but thats just me

I would if I had money... the MSI and the Gigabyte are around 70$... and I don't have much more than that. But thank you for your answer!

like i said read the specs and then choose the one that fits your needs the best and go for it ... i did not mean to imply that there not good boards. but you got to get what you think is best you buy you try if it good your good if its bad then you know better next time. thats why theres so many to choose from. i bought a sabertooth 990fx and my buddy got a giga 990fx ud3 and after it was all said and done he got the better board for less. you go with what you think is right.

Both board seems identical in the specs but I read wrong things about each one. So there's maybe more problems with one of the two and I want the opinion of an expert :p

Bad review. For the gigabyte: Slow chipset, only sata 3gbps, BSOD

For the MSI : graphics problems, ram slot broke, missing screws, video cards blocking SATA ports

So I really need help for my choice!

Yeah if I OC I will boost only like 1-2ghz... and thank you for your answer!

well i dont know what to say here with out hurting your feelings some how. also you need to see if them lower end boards will eaven support that upper end chip... they may not have made a bios update for that .. this is why i tryed to point you to the 970 at the low end for that chip ... ok the gigabyte board will support your chip with bios F3.. now if you were to get that board and the bios was not F3 it will not post, then you would have to get a chip that is supported to post in order to update the bios to F3 in order for your chip to work. [this goes for any board you buy] how did you get to afford that chip and not a good board for it?? dude i guess i realy cant help you sorry.

I'll probably go for the Asus m5a97 r2.0 (If I get enough money at christmas) because it seems to be a better board and it's about 20$ more than the MSI or the Gigabyte that I proposed. And you're not hurting my feelings don't worry dude x) It's just because I don't know alot about motherboard :S

If any revision 4.1 boards are still shipping, I'd bet they are shipping with BIOS F4 loaded. It has been out since Oct 2012. You're pretty safe and the newer rev 5.0 boards all support up to the 8350 CPU. Chances are you'll get a rev 5.0 board if purchasing now.
