Hi my friend asked me to upgrade the cpu in his laptop as he wants a more powerful one. he is not sure of the model of the laptop besides that it is HP. He sent me a screenshot of what the CPU is. The CPU is AMD A6-Series A6-4400M. Can someone reccmond a new CPU and somewhere i can get it at not a bad price. I live in Australia so the store needs to ship to here of course. Laptops aren't really meant to be upgraded except for the RAM and HDD. The CPU and Graphics on a Laptop are usually non replaceable. Sorry to tell you bud.

a10 is same socket chip but some a10 i think are soldered had to run his chip in cpuworld to find a match

you misunderstand what i was saying
actually youll find some a series soldered is what i ment example a6 5200 and one of the newer a10 richlands is soldered to the board
