Hi guys,
I'm planning to upgrade my old pc,but I have not enough cash to upgrade all the components at this moment.
I have a laptop and I always use it for my work,so I wanna upgrade my pc just for upcoming games,
my pc rig is:
core2duo e7500
motherboard asus p5p41tle
gpu gainward gt240 1G ddr3
PSU 485A green
ram 4 G dual 1333
resolution 1440*900

I just want to upgrade on first step, and later I wanna upgrade other stuffs, but I can do these decisions :
1. upgrade for a powerful gpu like asus gtx660 or gtx 760 + a higher PSU if needed.
2.buy an asus b85-plus mobo and an intel core i3 4130 and use my old gt240 graphic card:??:

So which decision is better for me just now ?
I know that a powerful gpu will bottleneck my cpu,but I wanna play upcoming games on 1440*900 with high settings on 30+ fps at least for one year,

Can you help me out ?
thanks.

you can go up to about a 7770 on that cpu. haveyou any order of purchase in mind? the board is a hybrid
.. fairly recent for that socket to run ddr3

My stock advice for anyone running 775 would be a Q6600, clock it to 3 gig and run something of gtx460 power graphics wise. The quad only costs about £35 on ebay.

thanks for advise but I need a graphic card which is almost powerful for future upgrade so if I upgrade to an AMD 7770,I think after one or two years I need to upgrade it again to a powerful gpu.
but at this moment I dont know should I upgrade the cpu and mobo ? or for now upgrade to a powerful graphic card.

At that resolution any decent gpu would do; 7750, gtx 650, etc etc. But beware of bumbling into a bios update. 550 Ti perhaps, or 560 SE. You mite want to borrow a card off a mate to check it works in your
board before you buy one. A 2nd hand gtx460 is practically a shoe in, as is a gts 450 but thats not a huge upgrade.

so you mean that the new gpu may not handled by motherboard ? why ?
and do you recommend to upgrade to an intel 4130 and B85plus from asus, instead ?
or I have to upgrade my gpu immediately.
and If I upgrade to a gtx 660 will I get lower fps rather than a 7790 ?
I dont know If gpu bottlenecks the cpu, then how much it reduces the performance ?

Yes, ok, future proof it; put a gtx 780 in it.

:D  sry for that,
all I say is that I wanna upgrade to a gpu that I can run future games on this resolution on high, ultra settings without any problem.
So you mean upgrading to a 7790 gpu with this setup is decent upgrade right ?

I am going to ask you something. First, I am going to state something. That is. I wont get exasperated,
I wont swear, and I wont insult you. Now I am going to ask.
How much per hour, do you think I earn at 08.27 , on christmas eve, to answer your questions?
