I am confused !! FX 8350 or i7 3770 ??
I see FX is cheap and affordable for me but seeing that its single thread performance is lacking.
I do these tasks :
CAD Works (Little)
3 tabs on internet mostly 2
Web Surfing mostly
Gaming Light @ 800x600 Med.
Programming.
So, Which CPU will be best for me ? Want to last the system for 6+ years.
maybe I would do other tasks inn future.
I also have to do Media encoding and Productivity Tasks. Little Video Editing.

i7 will take advantage of hypethreading in video editing and media encoding etc.

Gaming at such a low resolution both processors would be fine.

If your video editing is very light, and mostly you use it for surfing and gaming 800 x 600 Resolution go for the cheaper Fx 8350.

If you think that your video editing and gaming requirements will increase in the next year or so appreciably than hyperthreaded CPU would be a better bet.

For an all rounder performance i7 3770 is the obvious choice. Fx8350 performs satisfactorily only when the FX's 8 integer cores are used by the application. Even the applications are heavily threaded i7 3770 is still faster than Fx 8350 CPU.Another draw back of FX's poor single threaded performance is that even when you are doing simple day to day tasks like applications and games installing, do some basic anti virus scans etc are all light threaded tasks that results in a slower PC experience compared to an i5 or i7. Even when the application is heavily threaded FX8350 CPUs sucks 100W more power than an i7 or i5 CPU. So I cant figure out any single advantage with FX8350. Yes of course FX8350 is much cheaper than even an Core i5, but the initial saving you gain can only results you to pay more for the electricity.

Not a single advantage?

For people who are on a budget, it's a lifesaver. It charges less, and you can build a 500 Dollar PC with it, which would be impossible for core i5 or i7
If you wanted a gaming PC for 500 to 600 dollars who could basically be really good, you would always opt for AMD.
The electricity argument, is just so off the paper. Who cares about 10 extra dollars in electricity if you get to game on your new machine when you want to instead of waiting for next 6 months just because core i5 costs higher.

and in Gaming you a fx 8350 wouldn't suffer majorly at all.

So, Should I opt for the i7 ? Maybe chances are that tasks would increase but still at present, I want a fast PC, fast booting opening of apps with ssd etc.
Can you suggest me an intel build for me. Budget is Rs. 40,000 (Max.)
I need almost everything : cpu,gpu,ram,mobo,psu,case,monitor,ssd.
Some exceptions :
>I guess a Radeon HD 7750 will be good to go. Here I find the cheapest : http://www.primeabgb.com/gigabyte-hd-7750-2gb-graphic-card.html
>I can find the cheapest 4gb ram stick here (I currently don't exceed even the 1GB in my current Laptop) : http://www.flipkart.com/evm-ddr3-4-gb-pc-ram-evmt4g1333u86d-evmt4g1333u88d/p/itmdrgyztegefgws?pid=RAMD9ZDJXAR5JCEP&otracker=from-search&srno=t_1&query=4gb+ddr3+ram&ref=5c43ce56-99ee-4235-9e6f-440dee7cd76d
>Cheapest yet Brand PSU I can find : http://www.flipkart.com/corsair-vs450-450-watt-psu/p/itmdbfa3kaffmum3?pid=PSUDBF9ZBHSJVGJ8&otracker=from-search&srno=t_1&query=corsair+vs450&ref=00b2a58f-d0a1-4e9a-9edc-d57cbbe466b3
>Monitor (I don't need anything above this) : http://www.snapdeal.com/product/aoc-e1670swu-156-inches-led/632924781?pos=0;114

I currently have a Laptop's Seagate Momentus 5400.6 160GB S2 Hard Drive ST9160314 AS ATA Device.
I planning to use this Drive in my new system as it's Performance is acceptable for me. It boots Windows Pro within 10 Seconds after BIOS POST on my Laptop (Dell Vostro 1015, Intel Celeron 900 @ 2.2Ghz, 1GB DDR2 RAM).
But I am thinking, Will it bottleneck my new system ??

Here's the closest I could get to you.

1. core i7 3770 20199rs
2. motherboard ASRock B75M R2.0 Motherboard for 4082rs
3. RAM EVM DDR3 4 GB PC RAM 2099rs
4. GPU GIGABYTE HD 7750 2GB Graphic Cards for 5299rs
5. PSU corsair vs 450 for 2249 rs
6. Casing get a cheap casing for 1000 rs local
7. Monitor AOC e1670Swu 15.6 Inches LED Monitor 4400 Rs
8. HDD you can use the laptops

This makes your grand total 38328 rs.
I would use the 2000 rupees gap to add 8gb RAM instead of 4gb which will last you longer for next 6+ years.

That looks great but what about Hard Drive ? Is that good one ? I was thinking to add an SSD to the system :
Intel Core i7 3770 : Rs.17,000 w/o cooler @ ebay
DEEPCOOL ALTA 7 CPU Cooler for Intel Socket 1155/1156 and LGA775: Rs.530 @ ebay
ASRock B75M R2.0 Motherboard : Rs.4,082 @ flipkart
EVM DDR3 4GB RAM : Rs.2,099 @ flipkart
Gigabyte HD 7750 : Rs.5,299 @primeabgb
Corsair VS 450 PSU: Rs.2,249 @ flipkart
ZEBRONIC SPINNER MICRO ATX CABINET : Rs.789 @ ebay
AOC e1670Swu 15.6 Inches LED Monitor : Rs.4,400 @ snapdeal
ADATA Premier 64GB Pro SP900 SSD: Rs.4,749 @ primeabgb
Seagate Momentus 5400.6 160GB Serial ATA SATA II Hard Drive : Free @ myhome
That make grand total : Rs. 41,197 (Acceptable OK Price)
Another 4GB I would add later on..
How about that now ?

The HDD is good, but you would run out of space soon, and would always find yourself cramped for space.
If you want to spend 4000 rs on SSD, I'd rather you spend it to get a 1 TB hardrrive.

The SSD is like a "shashka" in my language. It's for people who have enough cash to spare so that they can have fast boot times and shut down times. You wont be losing out a lot if you skip the SSD for now.

In fact you may even go for SSD for next upgrade instead of adding RAM, in the next year or so.

Especially if you want the system to last 5+ years, you better have tons of spae for photos, editing, games, movies and everything else.

SSD is just to make your system faster, and can be added at anytime.

Actually I won't ever run out of space. I am currently using this HDD and newly Installed (23rd time) Windows 8 Pro. I had made a 30GB Partition and about 116 unallocated. I don't play much games and watch music etc. I would be reinstalling it today, after clean format, as some malware virus is affecting my PC.

HDD doesn't have any bottlenecks on anything.
It just has a transfer rate, and that depends on USB port and its own disk revolution capacity.
Go ahead for the drive you have.
