I have a desktop, which i use for light gaming (simcity, etc.) The specs are AMD A8 6660K and 1GB AMD Radeon HD 8570D (DDR3) and finally 6GB of DDR3 ram, at 1066MHz. Is it possible to add a dedicated graphics card to it without removing The APU? for exmaple i've been looking at a Nvidia GTX 650 Ti.

yes, the apu is basically a processor with a built in weak graphics processor. As long as you have a good enough power supply and atleast a PCI-E 2.0 slots on your motherboard you are good to go

You need to check your motherboard for the black PCI Express Slot. If there is one, you can add the card, otherwise you can't.

I might add though, you would probably find yourself bottlenecked and card won't perform that well on your CPU as its weak.

That should work, You also might not need to upgrade your PSU for that card as it only uses a maximum of 100w, so you should be okay

I have been loking at this card :http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sapphire-Graphics-Express-Displ...

Will it run with my APU ( i will upgrade my PSU as this is a HP desktop so at the moment it's only 450 watts.)

Yes it will and the PSU if it's generic is not a good idea to run it on that PSU.

If it's a reputable brand you can run this card even on 450W llike Corsair or something even though AMDs website recommends 500W
